Meet Ana

In 2017 I graduated from Virginia School of Massage in Charlottesville, VA. During my clinical hours, my professor placed me with a pregnant client after learning this was a possible niche that I wanted to explore. Since then my love for bodywork, especially in prenatal and postpartum, blossomed.

Throughout my varying job modalities, my passion for the anatomy of the body as well as the mind-body connection has stayed in the forefront of my practice. I previously worked with RVA Holistic PT in Richmond, VA for two years. While there, I deepend my knowledge of the body’s overall connection and prenatal and postpartum work including breech release. Working in a holistic environment also gave me a further understanding of the body’s responses to stress and how best to address it. I have accomplished 1 of 3 courses in The Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy and am looking to complete the full course.

My work modality consists of using a firmer, comfortable pressure to release the superficial layers while listening to the body as to how deep it allows the work to go. I occasionally use cupping therapy, hot stones, and deep tissue/trigger point therapy.

Out of the studio, I spend my time with my amazing husband and two daughters. I love to garden, write, bake yummy pastries, and be outside in peaceful nature to recharge.
